Journey to the Solent: Part 5

The Nancy Blackett was due to leave Dover today at 11am in an attempt to complete the remain part of her voyage in one go.

The heroic crew intended to take advantage of favourable tidal and weather conditions to sail the 110 miles to the Solent in the next 30 hours, stopping only as required for refuelling or to pick up emergency supplies.

Update: Unfortunately the latest weather forecasts were for some strong winds to return within the next 48 hours, so the departure has been postponed again, probably until next week. It is still hoped that Nancy will be able to be in the Hamble to coincide with the TARS IAGM at some point over the bank holiday weekend.
